1942

August 1942:
Statement: War Time Training UK - Wrotham Kent - Fylingdales, East Yorks.

02 September 1942:
Questionnaire: Date And Age On Enlistment: 18, 2nd Sept 1942, Enlisted Where: Wolverhampton. Regiment: Royal Warwickshire.

1942:
Questionnaire: Enlisted Where: Colchester.

1943

18 March 1943:
Statement: I was to report to Brock Barracks, Reading, Berkshire, on arrival I was told not to unpack my kit because I would be leaving early tomorrow by Troop Train for Colchester Army barracks, Essex.

1943:
Questionnaire: Aylesbury Barracks, Aylesbury, England. Training etc.

1943:
Questionnaire: Fulford Barracks, York, England. Training at York Race Course, 3 miles assault course, live ammunition. York Minster Cathedral marching to Church with the Regimental Band.

Fulford:
1939 to 1945 Fulford barracks, now known as Imphal Barracks housed numerous war-time units who passed through it's gates as raw recruits and emerged combat ready soldiers.

1943:
Statement: Dug in on that bloody trench half way up that hill by the Dover Castle.

01 November 1943:
Questionnaire: Where Enlisted: Carlisle, Date of enlistment: 01/11/1943, Assigned Regiment: Royal Warwickshire Regiment.

1944

January 1944:
Statement: January 1944 age 19 I was called to report to Colchester Army Barracks.

16 July 1944 to 29 July 1944:
Army Service records: Attended Sanitation course at army school of Hygiene. Period of Course or Date of Test: 16th July 1944 to 29th July 1944, Part II. Order No.: 11AG 2nd January 1944.

1944:
Statement: Colchester, Barracks, 1944.

1945

13 October 1945:
Army Service records: Part ii order or other Authority: 17 HB/200/45, Unit: 17 HB, Record: Disembarked Birkenhead (SEAC) to No. 17 Holding Bn. Returned UK on grounds, Long Service, Place of Casualty: HOME.

1946

07 January 1946:
Army Service records: Place: Brock Barracks, Oxford Road, Reading, Signature: Of Officer Commanding No.17 Holding Bn. Signature of Unit Education Officer: J.H. Woodrow Capt.

08 January 1946:
