Pte. Giles enlisted just before his 19th birthday. He returned home
and married his wartime sweetheart Doreen and enjoyed a full and
happy life together. They are survived by their loving son Russell
Giles who wishes to know more about his father’s exploits.

Cpl. Grant enlisted into the 2nd Battalion. He was transferred to
the 1st Battalion and saw action at Dunkirk.
Cpl. Clark, was known to his comrades as 'Geordie', who
was then posted overseas to India. He was a combatant at, Kohima,
Imphal, Mandalay and Rangoon.
This information was provided by his daughter Pauline Stanley and
his grandson Ian Grant on behalf of the family, who would like to
hear from anyone who has any information they would be willing to
share.
